Small Farm Policy

The store does not attempt to compete with local farm markets. We function as a Co-op for Small Family Farms, who get to order from us wholesale, with no markup.

Local Farm Products

Wassaic General Store carries certain specific local products because of their consistent quality. Here are some of the small farms from which we buy local products.

• Silent Brook Farm (Amenia) — Ida Red and McIntosh apples
• Chasehold Farm (Pine Plains) — Camembert cheese
• Berkshire Bark Chocolate Factory (Sheffield, MA) — Midnight Harvest & Jumping Java
• Strauss Family Homefarm (Amenia) — Maple syrup
• Morehouse Farm (Leedsville) — Green, yellow and white summer squash in season
